We designed ‘The Windrush Textile’ from drawings based on memories, fashion and lifestyle, by African and Caribbean Seniors in Barnet, Walthamstow and Clapham. We ran a series of Workshops starting with drawings, then adding colour and lastly embellishing the surface with beads, trimmings and lace.

	The basket is based on a 1960s photo of a woman entering the UK from the Caribbean.
